Morse code timing
A dot is one unit long and a dash is three. There is one unit of silence between the parts of a letter, three between letters and seven between words. Speed is measured in words per minute using the standard word “PARIS”, so at 15 WPM a dot lasts 80 ms.
Common signals
- SOS:
... --- ..., sent as one continuous signal. - CQ (calling any station):
-.-. --.- - 73 (best regards):

Frequently asked questions
How do I separate letters and words?
Put a space between letters and a slash (/) between words, e.g. “.... .. / - .... . .-. .”.
Does it support accented letters?
Accents are removed before translating (é becomes E), which is how most operators send them.
Can I learn Morse code with this?
Yes — play letters at a low speed and try decoding by ear. Many learners start with characters at 15–20 WPM and wider spacing.
